The 9th Italian JoomlaDay was a fantastic event. Just like previous years, there were a lot of happy faces and great sessions. It's a good example of what our Community is all about: have fun, learn and connect with others. JoomlaDay Italy also hosted an exam with great results. Almost 50% of the candidates passed.

Despite the total cost (of about 15,000 euros), the event is entirely free for all visitors. The event hosted almost 500 Joomlers from all over Italy on Saturday, November 12, 2016. It's difficult to believe only two people organized this beautiful day. Alessandro Rossi (aka AlexRed) and JoomlaHost.it CEO Marco Mangione did an amazing job. It was organized for the first time at Auditorium Antonianum in Rome which has a nice circular layout.

A big surprise was the attendance of Rowan Hoskyns Abrahall (CLT member and Team Leader of the Joomla! Event Travel program). She flew in from the Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal to represent CLT and decided to do the Administrator Exam at the same time to set an example for other future Joomla! Professionals.

Eleven candidates 'dared' to take the exam. They had prepared well for the exam which reflected in the results. Luca Marzo (the new Team Leader of the Joomla! Certification Program) and Richard van Tilborg (Team Leader of the Certification Marketing Team) are delighted that 5 candidates passed the exam. Especially with a high score of 91% by Rowan Hoskyns Abrahall.

Within a few hours, another exam starts on the opposite side of the world at Joomla! World Conference (JWC) in Vancouver, Canada.
